I build systems that move data.
Professionally, I work on large-scale data infrastructure and streaming platforms. At Etsy I lead a data platform team responsible for Kafka clusters processing millions of events per second and powering real-time systems across the company.
But most of my favorite work happens in small tools and experiments.
I enjoy building software that helps people understand complex systems — developer tools, data exploration interfaces, automation utilities, and the occasional strange prototype. Many of those projects live here.
More broadly I'm interested in how systems work: software systems, data systems, and sometimes physical ones too.
Previously I led the Data Product team at NS1. My background is in backend architecture, Go, and cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
I live in Brooklyn with my wife, my son, and a very small, very confident dog.
